Booklover Problem: What To Read First?
This is a picture of what I call my 9th bookcase—it’s the floor by my bed where I keep newly acquired books that I want to read. The two piles on the left are used books I’ve purchased over the past month. The two stacks on the right are my current library haul. So many books that I’ve had on hold at the library have all come in at once! Luckily the loan period is three weeks—but I do have other things going on in my life like a job and friends and a family that take up time. 🙂
So—where do I start? My impulse is to dig into the library stack—those pesky due dates and all—but then again there are a couple of books in that used book pile that I’d really love to explore. What a great “problem” to have, right? I’m hoping to get errands and chores done this morning and then will have time this afternoon and evening to do some serious reading of SOMETHING in one of these stacks!
How about you? What’s on your agenda for this lovely Saturday? Please share!

I am happily busy today. I am reading a book I have bought recently, and I also have five books I have borrowed from the city library, so I can relate to you.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I am an avid reader. I love this!

Is there anything better than a big stack of books? I think not . . . 🙂

No, I can’t say that there is!

Sometimes you just need to close your eyes and grab one!

So true–just close your eyes and pick one!

The to-be-read pile (large) will have to wait. I’m letting My Beloved Sandra set my agenda today, and I’m pretty sure literature is NOT on the list…

Yes–it’s always a shame when real life gets in the way of your reading life . . . 🙂

I agree–a big stack of books is a fabulous dilemma!

A friend used to send me the books he had read that month, as it was impossible to get English books here in Agadir. It was a lovely surprise and I found myself readingand enjoying books I would have never chosen for myself. Alas now there is kindle, I’m back to choosing my own! Enjoy

That is one of the big drawbacks of eBooks to me–you lose the fun of borrowing/trading with friends. You must have loved getting those packages in the mail!

Certainly did, and I just piled them up like you and picked one at random.

Spoiled for choice – a great problem for a booklover.

I love my Nook, and that is almost always a part of my day. Did you know that one of the features of Nook is that you can share your books with other Nook readers?

I have a kindle, and you can only lend each book one time to a fellow kindle person.

I love it! Books tend to come in waves for me. Three weeks ago my world was bursting at the seams with words, and now I don’t have anything. Which is good, because I’ve got to pick up the pieces of my life after my reading fest.

hmmmm I could have sworn you took this photo in MY house! hahahah Happy reading!

The library pile definitely gets priority!
