Had a “two-for-one” dream!

moon_and_starsI think dreams are fascinating—it’s like a whole section of your mind opens up when your barriers go down during sleep. I usually have really vivid dreams—sometimes with multiple plot lines—and on most mornings I can remember a dream when I wake up.

Once in awhile I’ll have the great experience of what I call a “two-for-one” dream—and it happened to me again last night! At some point in this dream, I went to see a play with some friends—but it was NOT a real play that I’ve ever seen in real life—it was a totally new play created by whatever part of my mind creates all of my dreams.

I love it when this happens—I’ve also experienced watching “dream” movies or “dream” TV shows—and I always feel like I’ve gotten a little “bonus dream” when it occurs!

How about you? Do you usually remember your dreams? What’s on your agenda for the weekend? Please share!

I love books, reading, writing, cooking, eating, reading while eating, and sharing thoughts about all of the above–plus a bit more! I usually post about topics relating to books and literacy during the week, and then participate in a variety of non-bookish memes on the weekend. Please feel free to join in! Some random things about me– –I have multiple bookshelves in every room of my home except the bathroom. They’re all filled to bursting. They help to make my house my home. –I have two cats who I love dearly, but who I definitely do NOT dress in human clothing. Ever. –I’ve never had a cavity. –I make a mean spaghetti sauce. –I’m a newcomer to yoga and I love it. –My day is not complete without a little chocolate.

  1. That’s quite amazing! The only dreams I remember are the bad ones. Fortunately these are infrequent, but they stay with me for days (usually involving the loss of, or danger to a loved one that I seem powerless to help) 😦

  2. I have really weird dreams, rarely bad ones, that make me wonder what on earth my brain is doing when I let go of consciousness. I remember them for a short time and then they drift away.

  3. I am glad you have good dreams! I have good and bad but usually forget them quickly.

  4. Lately. I do remember my dreams a bit more than I used to. I have to admit, though: I am intimidated by my dreams and usually fear the possible interpretations of them.

  5. rarely do I rmember dreams- UNLESS I immediately write them down….so we know that doesn’t happen very often hahah. Have a great day!
